Ted Kennedy has brain cancer
No, that isn't a bad joke.
There are very few people I'd wish this kind of illness on, but Kennedy isn't one of them. Don't get me wrong: I despise his politics and I hold him in deep contempt for his personal hypocrisy and his role in the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. He is neither a good nor an admirable man.
But he doesn't deserve agony of brain cancer and its treatment, either. And I'm sure his family members care for him and are devastated at news.
For them, I feel sorry.
