How childish
It seems some "Progressive" in nearby Santa Monica thought he'd help The Cause (Which "cause?" -ed. The flavor of the week?) by setting up a fake web site to smear Fred Thompson as a racist: http://www.imwithfred2008.com/. Well, that's interesting, even as I write this the site has been redirected: it did contain links to various white supremacist sites and gave the impression it was affiliated with the KKK. Now, however, the link seems to redirect to John Edwards site, even though the URL still reads "imwithfred2008."
Apparently the attention this moron got when Captain's Quarters first exposed his antics have lead him to try to hide his tracks. Nice try, chucklehead.
It seems fitting that this kind of ham-handed disinformation campaign came out of what we in Southern California call The People's Republic of Soviet Monica.

UPDATE: Oh, this is getting funny! Now the moron has redirected the site again, this time to a Wikipedia entry about a Marxist literary critic. What's next? Girl Genius?
