What do you mean, no one listens to us?

Left-liberal talk radio started with such hope. Just a few years ago, the cognoscenti among American progressives decided that the way back to power after losing the 2000 election was to have their own talk radio network, just like the right-liberals*. Like they say in the Guinness commercials, "BRILLIANT!"

Trouble is, it's hard to have a successful radio network with no audience. Brian Maloney at The Radio Equalizer reports that more and more stations are cancelling Air America and other left-liberal talk shows -- even in the progressive heartland, Madison Wisconsin.

Randi and Al, we hardly knew ya.

(hat tip: Michelle Malkin)

*(I've never been comforatble with the terms "liberal" and "conservative" in American politics, so I'm trying more and more to use "left-liberal" and "right-liberal," which I think more accurately describe the two major parties.)
